Regular Season Round 10: Tokyo Excel. - Aisin AW 86-69

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Tokyo Excel. (5-3) won against at home 5th ranked Aisin AW (3-5) 86-69 on Friday. Tokyo Excel. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Aisin AW's 38. Tokyo Excel. had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The other American import Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) contributed with 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Tokyo Excel.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Fujita Shunsuke (187-93) replied with 13 points and 5 rebounds and Ryosuke Terabe (191-94) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Aisin AW. Tokyo Excel. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Aisin AW dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Tokyo Excel.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Big Blue.
