Very predictable result in Hangzhou where seventh ranked Golden Bulls (9-4) smashed 15th ranked Jilin Tigers (3-10) 120-100 on Friday. Golden Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 92 of its points in the paint compared to Jilin Tigers' 58. They outrebounded Jilin Tigers 53-32 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Forward Jarnell Stokes (201-94, college: Tennessee) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 20 rebounds for the winners and swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) chipped in 30 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side forward Carl Landry (206-83, college: Purdue) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds and guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) scored 33 points (!!!) (made all of his eight free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Golden Bulls. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Jilin Tigers keep the fifteenth position with ten games lost. Golden Bulls will face league's leader Flying Leopards in Yingkou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jilin Tigers will play at home against Sharks (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
