Regular Season Round 13: Jiangsu D. - Shanghai S. 101-96

Very expected game in Nanjing where 13th ranked Sharks (6-7) were defeated by fifth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (10-3) 101-96 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Jiangsu Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sharks' 30 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Sharks 45-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists. Five Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) responded with 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import Nick Minnerath (207-88, college: Detroit Mercy) scored 32 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Sharks' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Sharks lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will face Monkey Kings (#11) in Jiangsu in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sharks will play on the road against Jilin Tigers in Changchun and hope to win that game.
