Regular Season Round 16: KTP Basket - Korihait 95-75

Rather expected game in Kotka where 11th ranked UU-Korihait (3-12) was rolled over by ninth ranked KTP-Basket (6-10) 95-75. The game without a history. KTP-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KTP-Basket forced 19 UU-Korihait turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a very good performance for American swingman Jermont Horton (198-84, college: Rutgers-Newark) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands guard Deon Edwin (190-92, college: Kent St., agency: Interperformances) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. American forward Juan Pattillo (203-88, college: W.Kentucky) replied with 23 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Quinton Chievous (198-92, college: Hampton) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for UU-Korihait. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KTP-Basket maintains ninth position with 6-10 record. UU-Korihait lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. KTP-Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UU-Korihait will play at home against Helsinki Seagulls (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
