We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Jeugd Gentson (4-9) lost to ninth ranked Tulikivi (4-8) in Deerlijk 59-71 on Friday. Tulikivi dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Jeugd Gentson's 22. Tulikivi forced 21 Jeugd Gentson turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Nele Poffyn (173-91) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Celine Lemmens (180-95) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Power forward Lien Lentacker (182-90) answered with 12 points and 9 rebounds and forward Lut De-Meyer (176-92) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Jeugd Gentson. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tulikivi moved-up to eighth place. Jeugd Gentson at the other side dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. Tulikivi are looking forward to face higher ranked Belfius Namur (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jeugd Gentson will play against the league's second-placed Sint Kateline Waver (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
