Regular Season Round 8: Koroivos - PAOK 87-91

The game in Koroivos was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked PAOK (5-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Koroivos (3-5). PAOK managed to secure a 4-point victory 91-87 on Saturday. PAOK made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. PAOK outrebounded Koroivos 40-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. Koroivos was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Lucky Jones (198-93, college: Robert Morris) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and point guard Phil Goss (188-83, college: Drexel) who added 25 points during the contest. Point guard Jahii Carson (178-92, college: Arizona St.) responded with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Marcus Posley (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. PAOK have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with AEK. Koroivos lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. PAOK will face AEK (#5) in Athens in the next round. Koroivos will play on the road against G.Larissa-Faros in Keratsiniou and hope to win that game.
