Regular Season Round 16: Hokkaido L. - Nagoya DD 79-69

There was a small surprise in Saporro where fifth ranked Hokkaido L. (11-10) won against 5th ranked Diamond Dolphins (8-13) 79-69 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Hokkaido L. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Hokkaido L. players scored in double figures. American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St.) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Hokkaido L. maintains fifth position with 11-10 record which they share with defeated Diamond Dolphins. Loser Diamond Dolphins keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. Hokkaido L. will face higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Diamond Dolphins will play against Shimane Magic and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
