Regular Season Round 15: Kotwica - Siarka 85-76

An interesting game took place in Kolobrzeg where higher ranked Siarka (8-6) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Kotwica (7-8) 85-76 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Siarka. Kotwica looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Lukasz Bodych (201-90) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Szymon Rduch (196-89, agency: Promotex) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Kotwica's coach Pawel Blechacz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Pawel Nowicki (195-92) who recorded 18 points and Wiktor Sewiol (198-97, college: N.Platte CC) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Siarka players scored in double figures. Kotwica moved-up to eighth place. Loser Siarka keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Kotwica will meet Pogon Prudnik (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Siarka will play against Biofarm PZN (#9) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the PLK just one year after relegation.
