Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Doha: Al Gharafa (#2) and Al Ahli (#6). Al Ahli was defeated at home 79-91 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. American point guard James Justice (178-89, college: Martin Methodist) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Serbian center Nemanja Besovic (221-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and Serbian-FYR Macedonian forward Nenad Zivcevic (203-87, agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 22 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Al Ahli. Four Al Ahli players scored in double figures. Al Gharafa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Arabi. Al Ahli lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Al Gharafa's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Shamal.
