Regular Season Round 12: L'Hospitalet - Albacete 78-69

An interesting game for L'Hospitalet (9-3) which hosted in Hospitalet second-best Albacete (8-4). Third ranked L'Hospitalet managed to get a 9-point victory 78-69. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. L'Hospitalet led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. L'Hospitalet outrebounded Albacete 37-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Albacete helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Edgar San-Epifanio (196-87) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Georgian center Shota Gelazonia (205-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American guard Garret Covington (196-94, college: W.Illinois, agency: Two Points) replied with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Jose Ortega (188-97) added 17 points in the effort for Albacete. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. L'Hospitalet have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Granada. Albacete at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. They share the position with La Roda and Lucentum. L'Hospitalet is looking forward to face Real Canoe (#13) in Madrid in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Albacete will play at home against La Roda (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
