The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Oxaco (11-3) in Boechout on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Ieper (9-5) 78-77. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Oxaco. It was a great evening for Wim Dobbelaere (198-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Robin Mestdagh (195-88, college: E.Kentucky) helped adding 16 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Bert Van-de-Broek (201-92) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Nick Celis (196-88) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Ieper maintains fifth place with 9-5 record. Oxaco at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Ieper are looking forward to face league's second-placed Waregem at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oxaco will play against Gembo BBC in Borgerhout and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
