No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Orvieto (5-5) beat at home 11th ranked Roma SRB (3-7) 62-58 on Saturday. Point guard Rachele Porcu (165-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Slovenian guard Eva Rupnik (176-92, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Michela Marchetti (176-96) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Valeria Giorgi (168-97) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Roma SRB. Roma SRB's coach Amedeo D'Antoni let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Orvieto maintains eighth place in A2 with 5-5 record. Newly promoted Roma SRB keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Orvieto will face higher ranked Faenza (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roma SRB will play against Cagliari V. (#14) and hope to win that game.
