Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Patti (2-11) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Cassino (9-4) 83-57 on Saturday. Cassino outrebounded Patti 39-28 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Patti's players. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Niccolo Petrucci (193-89) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. At the losing side center Andrea Locci (203-93) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and forward Marco Legnini (198-96, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cassino moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Lecco. Loser Patti dropped to the sixteenth position with 11 games lost. Cassino will face Isernia (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Patti will play against Venafro and hope to win that game.
