Everything went according to plan when third ranked Alpo VF (9-2) defeated on the road 14th ranked Pordenone (2-9) 62-55 on Saturday. Power forward Veronica DellOlio (190-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points. Power forward Marta Scarsi (182-95) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Giovanna Smorto (177-99) answered with 12 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Anna Togliani (168-98) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pordenone. Pordenone's coach Stefano Bonivento let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Alpo VF maintains third place in A2 with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Sesto SG. Loser Pordenone keeps the fourteenth position with nine games lost. Alpo VF will face Albino (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pordenone will play against Marghera in Venezia and hope to win that game.
