Regular Season Round 10: Tokyo Excel. - Aisin AW 73-67

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Aisin AW (3-5) lost on the road to sixth ranked Tokyo Excel. (5-3) 73-67 on Saturday. Tokyo Excel. outrebounded Aisin AW 43-31 including 28 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. The other American import Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Tokyo Excel.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Eve Nyokozera (199-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and guard Kyouhei Kumazawa (180-88) added 13 points, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Aisin AW. Tokyo Excel. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Aisin AW dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Tokyo Excel.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Big Blue.
