American guard Deon Jones (198-93, college: Monmouth) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center Jarred Shaw (208-90, college: Utah St.) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Fukushima's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) with 28 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Fukushima maintains second place with 13-6 record having just one point less than leader Akita NH. Loser Kumamoto V. still keeps top position with seven games lost. Fukushima will face again Kumamoto V. (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
