Regular Season Round 13: Sestu - Salerno 73-87

Very expected game when 11th ranked Sestu (5-8) was defeated at home by third ranked Salerno (10-3) 87-73 on Saturday. Salerno outrebounded Sestu 44-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Point guard Federico Di-Prampero (193-95) stepped up and scored 27 points and 7 assists for the winners and power forward Paolo Paci (204-90) chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Mauro Graviano (184-89) responded with 16 points and 9 assists and swingman Daniele Locci (192-94) scored 13 points. Newly promoted Salerno maintains third place in B with 10-3 record having just three points less than leader San Severo, which they share with Crema. Sestu at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. Salerno will face league's leader Basket Barcellona at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sestu will play against Valmontone (#4) and hope to win that game.
