Very predictable result when ninth ranked GKS Tychy (7-7) defeated at home bottom-ranked KK Warszawa (1-13) 83-73. They outrebounded KK Warszawa 31-19 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. GKS Tychy players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for center Dawid Slupinski (206-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Marcin Kowalewski (200-86, agency: Promotex) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four GKS Tychy players scored in double figures. Center Krystian Kozluk (205-94) answered with 24 points and swingman Michal Wojtynski (193-89) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for KK Warszawa. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. GKS Tychy moved-up to seventh place. KK Warszawa lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. GKS Tychy's next round opponent will be league's leader Spojnia in Stargard and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KK Warszawa will play at home against the league's second-placed Polonia Leszno (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
