Regular Season Round 11: KFUM Blackeberg - AIK II 115-73

Not a big story in a game in Vallingby where bottom-ranked AIK II (0-11) was outplayed by second ranked KFUM Blackeberg (9-2) 115-73 on Saturday. KFUM Blackeberg dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to AIK II's 42. KFUM Blackeberg forced 32 AIK II turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. AIK II was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Daniel Persson (198-91) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Joacim Edlund (195-93) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds. Four KFUM Blackeberg players scored in double figures. Olle Welander (-0) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Sokratis Pavlidis (174-1) added 18 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for KFUM Blackeberg. They maintain second place with 9-2 record having just two point less than leader KFUM Fryshuset. AIK II lost their eleventh game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 11 games lost. KFUM Blackeberg will face KFUM Lidingo (#6) on the road in the next round. AIK II will play against Jamtland II (#5) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
