Regular Season Round 8: Nancy - Orleans 68-79

An interesting game for Entente Orleans 45 (8-0) which played road game in Nancy against 4th ranked Sluc Nancy (5-3). Top-ranked Entente Orleans 45 managed to get a 11-point victory 79-68. The game was mostly controlled by Entente Orleans 45. Sluc Nancy managed to win third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Entente Orleans 45 looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Sluc Nancy's players. Puerto Rican point guard Alexander Abreu (180-91, college: W.Georgia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. American point guard Kyle McAlarney (183-87, college: Notre Dame) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Power forward Mickael Var (205-90) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Dewayne Russell (180-94, college: Grand Canyon) added 13 points and 9 assists in the effort for Sluc Nancy. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sluc Nancy's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Entente Orleans 45 have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Entente Orleans 45 are looking forward to face league's second-placed Lille Metropole at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
