Regular Season Round 13: Boulogne - Aubenas 74-68
Date: December 9, 2017
Very expected game when 15th ranked Aubenas (4-9) lost to eleventh ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (6-7) in Boulogne-sur-Mer 68-74 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when SO Maritime Boulogne made 8 blocks. Quite impressive performance for American-British guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds. Cedric Andre (202-93, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 7 blocks for the winners. Four SO Maritime Boulogne players scored in double figures. Guard Gilles Duro (190-88, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 17 points and American forward Justin Moss (201-93, college: Buffalo) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Aubenas. Aubenas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SO Maritime Boulogne moved-up to ninth place, which they share with ALS Basket and Brissac-Aubance. Aubenas lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with nine games lost. SO Maritime Boulogne will face higher ranked Rueil (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aubenas will play against Brissac-Aubance (#10) and hope to win that game.
