SBL top team - Inter Bratislava (14-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Nova Ves (2-15) 134-75. Inter Bratislava well out of reach of Nova Ves shooting 70.1 percent from the field. They outrebounded Nova Ves 40-28 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Inter Bratislava looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Nova Ves' players. The best player for the winners was Serbian Stefan Matovic (203-91, agency: BeoExcell) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Michal Batka (204-87) chipped in 23 points and 5 blocks. Five Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Oliver Vidin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swiss forward Michel-Ofik Nzege (203-92, college: E.Carolina) produced 25 points and 5 rebounds and Bosnian center Djordje Ninkovic (210-93) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-2 record. Nova Ves lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Inter Bratislava will meet Levice (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nova Ves will play against Iskra Svit (#4) and hope to secure a win.
