Regular Season Round 9: Rapla - TTU 88-80

Bottom-ranked TTU is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to fourth ranked Rapla (5-4) 88-80 on Saturday evening. TTU trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 25-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 80-88 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Rapla especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. American guard Nolan Cressler (195-94, college: Vanderbilt, agency: 3Eye) nailed 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and swingman Sven Kaldre (197-91) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. International Sten Olmre (192-95, agency: Players Group) came up with 27 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Toomas Raadik (202-90, agency: Promotex) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for TTU in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rapla moved-up to third place. TTU lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Rapla will meet league's second-placed Valga on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TTU will play against Tartu Ulikool (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
