Regular Season Round 10: Mgzavrebi - Sokhumi 86-82

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Tbilisi: Mgzavrebi (#7) and Sokhumi (#9). Mgzavrebi (3-6) won against visiting Sokhumi (1-8) 86-82. Forward Rati Nutsubidze (202-97) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. International Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Four Mgzavrebi players scored in double figures. American point guard Kwan Waller (183-89, college: Ky Wesleyan) produced 24 points and 5 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Vytautas Kamarunas (178-89) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists respectively for lost side. Sokhumi's coach Mikheil Kobeshavidze rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mgzavrebi maintains seventh position with 3-6 record. Sokhumi lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. Mgzavrebi will have a break next round. Sokhumi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Olimpi.
