Rather expected game when 5th ranked CD Castro (8-14) was crushed on the road by second ranked AB Ancud (14-7) 82-54 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian point guard Jonatan Machuca (182-89) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 assists and American center Arkeem Joseph (206-94, college: Texas A&M Int.) who added 9 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. American forward Rakim Brown (198-91, college: Humboldt St.) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Cristian Correa (183-99) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AB Ancud have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with CD Valdivia and Los Leones. Loser CD Castro keeps the fifth place with 14 games lost. AB Ancud will face again CD Castro (#5) on the road in the next round.
