Regular Season Round 12: MKK Siedlce - JAS FBG 61-71

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked JAS FBG and 12th ranked MKK Siedlce had identical 2-8 record. But MKK Siedlce was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Sosnowiec 71-61 on Saturday night. MKK Siedlce was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 20-6 charge of JAS FBG, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MKK Siedlce to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded MKK Siedlce 41-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard Robyn Parks (183-92, college: VCU) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was international guard Katarzyna Trzeciak (172-92, agency: Promotex) with 20 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Magdalena Parysek (185-89, agency: Promotex) scored 20 points. JAS FBG (3-8) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with TS Ostrovia. MKK Siedlce lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. JAS FBG will face bottom-ranked Widzew (#13) in Lodz in the next round. MKK Siedlce will play on the road against Artego Bydg. in Bydgoszcz and hope to win that game.
