Regular Season Round 11: Zamarat - Estudiantes 87-64

Date: December 9, 2017
Rather predictable result in Zamora where twelfth ranked Zamarat (2-9) outscored bottom-ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (0-11) 87-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Zamarat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Zamarat had a 34-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Brianna Butler (180-94, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) who scored 24 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Five Zamarat players scored in double figures. Celia Menendez (186-90, agency: ProDep Management) produced 11 points and Czech forward Michaela Stejskalova (186-87) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Zamarat maintains twelfth place with 2-9 record, which they share with Campus Promete. Newly promoted ASEFA Estudiantes still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Zamarat will face league's second-placed Argon Uni Girona on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ASEFA Estudiantes will play against Mann Filter (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
