Regular Season Round 10: Adelaide - Melbourne 62-64

The most exciting game of round 10 in the WNBL took place in Adelaide. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Adelaide Lightning (9-7) to second ranked Boomers (11-6) 64-62 on Saturday evening. The former international center Elizabeth Cambage (203-91) had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Jenna OHea (185-87) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists during the contest. Boomers' coach Guy Molloy used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international guard Nicole Seekamp (178-92, college: S.Dakota) responded with 16 points and 6 assists and the former international center Abby Bishop (189-88) scored 7 points and 14 rebounds. Boomers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-6 record behind leader Perth. Adelaide Lightning at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Sydney. Boomers are looking forward to face league's leader Perth Lynx at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Adelaide Lightning will play against Canberra Capitals and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
