The game between sixth ranked Jiangsu Phoenix (6-5) and 10th ranked Liaoning Hengye (4-7) in Yixing on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Jiangsu Phoenix outscored guests from Anshan 73-53. Jiangsu Phoenix outrebounded Liaoning Hengye 48-36 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Liaoning Hengye's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Jiangsu Phoenix made 9 blocks. International point guard Xiaojia Chen (177-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Na Jinwei (180-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Elizabeth Williams (190-93, college: Duke) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and forward Jinbo Xing (181-96) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Liaoning Hengye. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jiangsu Phoenix have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Jiangsu Phoenix maintains sixth place with 6-5 record, which they share with Heilongjiang. Liaoning Hengye lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Jiangsu Phoenix will face higher ranked Xing Rui (#3) in Taiyuan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Liaoning Hengye will play on the road against Whale (#13) in Sichuan and hope to win that game.
