The game in Gwynneville was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Perth Wildcats (10-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Illawarra Hawks (5-8). Perth Wildcats managed to secure a 8-point victory 99-91. It was a good game for American guard Bryce Cotton (185-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Derek Cooke-Jr (206-91, college: Wyoming) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. American forward Demitrius Conger (196-90, college: St.Bonaventure) answered with 30 points and the former international center Andrew-James Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Illawarra Hawks. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Perth Wildcats. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Illawarra Hawks lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth place with eight games lost. Perth Wildcats' next round opponent will be Bullets (#7) in Brisbane which should be theoretically an easy game. Illawarra Hawks will play at home against United and hope to win that game.
