Regular Season Round 9: Maccabi T-A - Hapoel Holon 89-93

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Maccabi T-A (9-1) in Tel-Aviv on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Hapoel Holon (7-2) 93-89. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. American point guard Pierre Jackson (180-91, college: Baylor) answered with 20 points and Australian power forward Jonah Bolden (208-96, college: UCLA) added 6 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi T-A. Maccabi T-A's coach Neven Spahija tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Holon have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 7-2 record having just three points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Maccabi T-A at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Hapoel Holon are looking forward to face Hapoel Jerusalem (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Maccabi T-A will have a break next round.
