Very important is a road loss of third ranked Niigata Albirex (9-12) against sixth ranked Nishinomiya S. (5-16) on Sunday night. Visiting Niigata Albirex was defeated by Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo 100-85. American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) fired 32 points and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Sakai Reo (195-93) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Five Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Nishinomiya S.'s coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) produced 43 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Kei Igarashi (180-80) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Nishinomiya S. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shimane SM. Loser Niigata Albirex dropped to the second position with 12 games lost. Nishinomiya S. will face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Niigata Albirex will play on the road against the league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
