Regular Season Round 22: Gunma - Shinshu BW 77-74

Important game to mention about took place in Gunma. Fourth ranked Gunma (10-10) saved a 3-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Shinshu BW (10-11) 77-74 in the game for the third place. Gunma players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) supported him with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Gunma's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by forward Tim Dezelski (198-90, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) did not help to save the game for Shinshu BW. Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) added 15 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Gunma moved-up to third place which they share with defeated Shinshu BW. Shinshu BW at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers. Gunma will play against Aomori Watts (#5) on the road in the next round. Shinshu BW will play against Sendai 89ers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
