Regular Season Round 22: Cyberdyne IR - Ehime OV 66-80

Rather predictable result in Tsukuba where second ranked Orange Vikings (15-6) defeated 5th ranked Cyberdyne IR (9-12) 80-66 on Sunday. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) scored 29 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Yuji Takahashi (183-91) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orange Vikings have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-6 record having just two point less than leader Akita NH. Cyberdyne IR lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost. Orange Vikings will face league's second-placed Fukushima at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cyberdyne IR will play against Kagawa FA in Takamatsu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
