Rather predictable result in Vantaa where eighth ranked Aanekosken Huima (5-6) outscored 12th ranked PuHu Juniorit (1-10) 107-83 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Aanekosken Huima. PuHu Juniorit was better in fourth quarter 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aanekosken Huima dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to PuHu Juniorit's 48. Aanekosken Huima forced 28 PuHu Juniorit turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was center Jani Tuoriniemi (195-97) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Sami Mantymaa (193-88) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Aanekosken Huima players scored in double figures. Alvar Pemberton produced 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Guled Abokar added 23 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aanekosken Huima moved-up to seventh place in Division. Loser PuHu Juniorit keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Aanekosken Huima will face higher ranked Karkkila (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PuHu Juniorit will play against HyPo (#9) and hope to win that game.
