Top ranked Flying Leopards (11-3) recorded its third loss in Hangzhou on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by sixth ranked Golden Bulls (10-4) 95-92. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Flying Leopards. Golden Bulls made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Flying Leopards helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Forward Jarnell Stokes (201-94, college: Tennessee) chipped in 26 points and 8 rebounds. Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) produced 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU) added 23 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Flying Leopards' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Golden Bulls have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Guangdong ST and Guangsha L. Flying Leopards at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. They share it with Shandong GS and Jiangsu D.. Golden Bulls is looking forward to face Leopards (#9) in Shenzhen in the next round where they are favorite.
