There was no surprise when 13th ranked Alba (4-9) was outplayed on the road by ninth ranked San Miniato (6-7) 88-67 on Sunday. San Miniato dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Alba's 26. Naturalized Swiss Olivier Giacomelli (198-95, agency: Players Group) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and guard Tommaso Tempestini (180-87, agency: Players Group) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists. At the losing side point guard Claudio Maino (180-91) responded with 15 points and power forward Giacomo Dell'Agnello (201-94) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Miniato moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Alba keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost.
