No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Campli (8-5) outleveled at home 16th ranked Ortona (3-10) 73-47 on Sunday. Campli held Ortona to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.4 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Ortona 44-27 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Riziero Ponziani (205-94) stepped up and scored 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and power forward Gianluca Di-Carmine (200-86) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side center Luca Malfatti (202-90) responded with 10 points and Serbian power forward Danilo Petrovic (203-99) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Campli moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Faenza. Loser Ortona dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Campli will face Matera (#5) on the road in the next round. Ortona will play against Teramo (#8) and hope to win that game.
