Important game to mention about took place in Prat. Third ranked Melilla Baloncesto (10-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging their biggest opponent CB Prat (11-2) 73-70 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of CB Prat. Melilla Baloncesto made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Point guard Daniel Rodriguez (182-84) nailed 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winning side and center Fran Guerra (214-92) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds. Melilla Baloncesto's coach Alejandro Alcoba allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Canadian-Nigerian guard Caleb Agada (193-94, college: Ottawa, agency: Blacktop Management) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Romanian center Emanuel Cate (206-97) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for CB Prat in the defeat. Melilla Baloncesto have a solid series of three victories in a row. Melilla Baloncesto maintains third place with 10-3 record behind leader Breogan. CB Prat at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Breogan. Melilla Baloncesto will play against Lleida Basquet (#7) at home in the next round. CB Prat will play against Castello (#9) in Castellon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
