Regular Season Round 11: KFUM Central - KFUM Lidingo 91-85

There was a small surprise in Stockholm where eighth ranked KFUM Central (5-4) defeated 5th ranked KFUM Lidingo (5-4) 91-85 on Sunday. KFUM Central looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. KFUM Lidingo was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Joeffrey-Masabe Paulsson (186-90) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Five KFUM Central players scored in double figures. KFUM Central's coach Stefan Pettersson used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Serigne-Modou Thioune (-88) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and Tom Goransson (-98) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. KFUM Central moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated KFUM Lidingo. KFUM Central will face higher ranked Taby Basket (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KFUM Lidingo will play against the league's second-placed KFUM Blackeberg and hope to win that game.
