Regular Season Round 11: Brahe Basket - Boras II 63-83

Boras II can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Huskvarna, where they outplayed Brahe Basket (0-9) 83-63. They outrebounded Brahe Basket 47-34 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Robin Alm (184-93) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Joakim Gustafsson (206-97) accounted for 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Four Boras II players scored in double figures. Boras II's coach Henrik Carlsson used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Carl Sundkvist (175-97) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and guard Joel Penndal (183-99) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Brahe Basket in the defeat. Newly promoted Boras II maintains ninth place with 1-5 record. It was Brahe Basket's ninth loss in a row. Brahe Basket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with nine games lost. Boras II's next round opponent will be higher ranked Orebro (#7) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
