Regular Season Round 12: Le Mans - Nanterre 83-87

The most important game in the last round took place in Le Mans between second ranked Le Mans (8-4) and seventh ranked JSF Nanterre (7-5) on Monday night. Le Mans was defeated by JSF Nanterre in a tough game at home 83-87. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-83. JSF Nanterre looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American Jamal Shuler (191-86, college: VCU) who scored 17 points and 5 assists. American-Finnish point guard Jamar Wilson (185-84, college: Albany) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. JSF Nanterre's coach Pascal Donadieu used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese center Youssoupha Fall (221-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Justin Cobbs (190-91, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists respectively. Five JSF Nanterre and four Le Mans players scored in double figures. JSF Nanterre moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Le Mans at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Limoges. JSF Nanterre is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Chalon/Saor (#18) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Le Mans will play against Limoges CSP Elite (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
