Regular Season Round 11: Olimpi - Cactus Tbilisi 66-71

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: Cactus Tbilisi (#6) and Olimpi (#5). Olimpi was defeated at home 66-71 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Deondre Parks (185-92, college: S.Dakota St.) who led the winners and scored 20 points. His fellow American import guard Terik Bridgeman (198, college: William Pater.) accounted for 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four Cactus Tbilisi players scored in double figures. American forward Mark Ogden (206-94, college: Dixie St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Revaz Rogava (191-93) added 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Olimpi in the defeat. Cactus Tbilisi maintains sixth place with 5-5 record. Olimpi at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Cactus Tbilisi will play against higher ranked Batumi (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olimpi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Mgzavrebi.
