Regular Season Round 15: Jiangsu D. - Shandong GS 99-111

Another interesting game for Golden Stars (12-3) which played in Nanjing against Jiangsu Dragons (11-4). Second ranked Golden Stars had an easy win 111-99. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Jiangsu Dragons. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Golden Stars made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Jiangsu Dragons were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American point guard Ty Lawson (180-87, college: N.Carolina) who led his team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Lithuanian power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90) helped adding 24 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists and Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Golden Stars have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Liaoning FL. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Guangsha L.. Golden Stars will play against Monkey Kings (#12) in Jiangsu in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Jiangsu Dragons will play at home against Eagles (#16) and hope to get back on the winning track.
