Regular Season Round 15: Shanxi BD - Xinjiang FT 116-114

There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Brave Dragons (5-10) edged higher ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (9-6) in Taiyuan 116-114 on Tuesday. Brave Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Xinjiang Flying Tige's 46. Brave Dragons had a 35-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Argentinian-Spanish power forward Luis Scola (206-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds. International guard LingXu Zeng (193-87) contributed with 25 points and 8 assists for the winners. Brave Dragons' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Dutt Sports Services) answered with a double-double by scoring 51 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international center Changdong Yu (206-91) added 17 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Xinjiang Flying Tige. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Brave Dragons maintains fifteenth place with 5-10 record. Defending champion Xinjiang Flying Tige dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Brave Dragons will face bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (#20) in Ningbo in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
