Regular Season Round 14: Al-Nweidrat - Al-Muharraq 71-82

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Al-Nweidrat (9-4) against fourth ranked Al-Muharraq (9-3) on Tuesday night. Host Al-Nweidrat was defeated by Al-Muharraq in Nuwaidrat 82-71. Ahmed Aldurazi notched 30 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and Bader Abdulla supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Al-Muharraq players scored in double figures. Al-Muharraq's coach Ivan Jeremic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 40 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds by Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) did not help to save the game for Al-Nweidrat. Hassan Madan added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the hosts. Al-Muharraq moved-up to third place. Al-Nweidrat at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Al-Muharraq will play against Al-Riffa (#5) in the next round. Al-Nweidrat will play against Isa Town in Issa Town and hopes to get back on the winning track.
