Regular Season Round 14: Hidd - Al-Najma 62-111

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Al-Najma (8-5) smashed on the road 12th ranked Hidd (1-12) 111-62. They outrebounded Hidd 53-34 including a 40-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al-Najma players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Hidd's players. Mohammed Bullay orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 11 assists. Fadhelallah Abbas contributed with 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Al-Najma players scored in double figures. Hussain Lulu replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and Omran Adnan added 16 points in the effort for Hidd. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Al-Najma have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Al-Hala. Newly promoted Hidd keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Al-Najma's next round opponent will be Al-Bahrain (#10) in Manama. Hidd will play at home against the league's second-placed Al-Ahli and hope to win that game.
