There was no surprise when 8th ranked Kouvottaret (5-8) was defeated on the road by second ranked Tapiolan Honka (12-1) 75-67 on Wednesday. Tapiolan Honka forced 20 Kouvottaret turnovers. American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 22 rebounds, 4 assists and 9 steals for the winners. International swingman Heta Korpivaara (185-84, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Brittany Carter (183-93, college: Illinois) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Layne Murphy (188, college: Chicago St.) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Kouvottaret players scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Tapiolan Honka. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Catz. Loser Kouvottaret dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. Tapiolan Honka will face Forssan Alku (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kouvottaret will play against Aanekosken in Aanekoski and hope to win that game.
