The game in Athens supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Iraklis (8-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Amyntas Dafnis (6-4). Iraklis smashed Amyntas Dafnis 82-55 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Iraklis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Iraklis outrebounded Amyntas Dafnis 41-22 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Kostas Kakaroudis (204-83) notched 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Giannis Athanasoulas (202-87) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Iraklis players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by point guard Giorgos Kerasovitis (190-81) did not help to save the game for Amyntas Dafnis. Forward Andriano Topalis (201-87) added 9 points and 4 assists for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Iraklis moved-up to second place, which they share with Apollon Patras and Holargos. Loser Amyntas Dafnis dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Iraklis will meet at home Holargos (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Amyntas Dafnis will play against Karditsas and hope to secure a win.
