The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Flying Leopards as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Flying Leopards defeated 17th ranked Jilin Tigers in Yingkou 116-108. Flying Leopards made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Jilin Tigers turnovers. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: Dutt Sports Services) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) contributed with 24 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Carl Landry (206-83, college: Purdue) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) added 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Jilin Tigers. Five Flying Leopards and four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Shandong GS. Jilin Tigers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Tianjin GL. Jilin Tigers will play next round against Leopards trying to get back on the winning streak. Flying Leopards will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Sharks in Shanghai.
